So you want to work Colombia? You have made the decision to add "Expatriate" to your resume of living experiences. Many people take this plunge. The term expatriate or in the abbreviated form, expat, is a person temporarily or permanently taking up residence in a country and culture other than that of the person's upbringing. The word is derived from the Latin terms ex ("out of") and patria ("country, fatherland").

"What are some of the things that you should consider before moving to Colombia?" All good questions in need of trust worthy answers. I think equally important would be asking and finding the answers, "How do I go about making the move & transitioning myself back to my home country?" Maybe the second question you can answer after the journey has begun, but I personally would consider the process before leaving home.
